Accidentally & Ridiculously Happy!

From the beginning of my entry into the world of working adults, I determined I would pursue employment that would be fulfilling and fun. Somehow, intuitively I knew that living a life of drudgery would drive me mad and that to be truly happy I’d need a career that was creatively fulfilling and satisfying.

In High School they gave us quite a few aptitude tests and mine pointed to a number of careers I could pursue. Tradesman, Architect, Teacher, Lawyer, Writer, Journalist, or working in the field of Media Production. The one that called to me, that I sensed would bring the most happiness into my life was that of a Media Producer. When I was a kid I often played around for hours with tape recorders, cameras (both still and movie) and did a lot of writing of short plays, movie scripts, stories and even a couple unfinished novels. I enjoyed being both behind the scenes and out front acting in plays and short films. For me it was all just good fun and never felt like work.

The interesting thing to me from a manifestation standpoint is that each of the things I felt compelled to play around with as a kid later became the career choices I gravitated toward as an adult. By following my bliss and using my talents, I “accidentally” aligned with my true life path and Higher Self life-plan (HSLP). It should not be surprising that synchronistic miracles happened all along the way to open doors so I could manifest the life I was desiring. Also, each time I needed a skill or talent to perform a certain job, I found I had what was required.

As an example, just out of High School I had the opportunity to apply for a job as a graveyard-shift (11pm-7am) announcer and disc jockey at a radio station. What company in their right mind would hire someone with zero formal training or education (in broadcasting) for such a technical position in a top ten market? How the heck did I even have the nerve to apply? It turned out all those mix tapes and stories I had recorded when I was a kid, pretending to be a radio personality/announcer had actually served to give me the confidence and ability to be one in real life! Not only did I land the job but was quickly promoted to the key afternoon to evening drive-time slot (3pm to 11pm) that was reserved for the best.

This pattern has repeated itself over and over in my life. Every time I desired to advance my career or expand into other areas of media production, opportunities manifested miraculously and I found I had the skills and talents that could be utilized to meet the challenges that were presented. Right about now some of you are about to accuse me of bragging, but I don’t attribute this to me being particularly special in any way. What I do consider to be the primary factor in all this “luck” is that I committed myself to always following my passion! I didn’t let others try to push me into careers or jobs that I knew I would be miserable doing- even though some might have been more stable or monetarily rewarding.

For instance, as a young man I also had the opportunity to train as an engineer at a major aerospace company that one of my uncles was a big-wig at. The pay was excellent for someone just out of High School and if it hadn’t sounded so incredibly dull and not in line with my skills, talents and passion, I might have committed to that path. But what kind of life would I have had? Would I have been able to travel over a million miles and see so many amazing places and do so many amazing things? Or to meet and work with so many amazing people of talent and vision?

Today, as I’m enjoying my stress-free retirement, I still find fulfillment creating media projects. With the publishing of my first book (MENTAGENESIS) in paperback, hardcover, and e-book formats, I’ve also decided to make it available in audio format. And interestingly, I don’t even need to hire anyone to help me! My years as a radio announcer and then later as a narrator for television documentaries has given me the perfect voice training. My work as a sound engineer for various videos and movies I collaborated on provides me with all I need to know to edit and create the master audio file for mass production.

And you know what’s even more crazy? I wouldn’t be surprised if recording the audio version of my book leads to more highly profitable opportunities to do voice work for others. That’s another pattern I’ve noticed. Opportunities to make easy money flow to me effortlessly. One thing leads to another. Sadly, I know that’s not the case for everyone, which is why I wrote the book MENTAGENESIS: Free Your Mind To Create Your Future! In it, I detail all the secrets I’ve learned over the years that enable me to turn thoughts into things and manifest a stress-free life that fulfills me and makes me ridiculously happy!
