It’s Only Death, After All.

Why are we so afraid of death? What do we think will happen to us? When we throw a party do we spend the whole time thinking about what a mess we’ll have to clean up afterwards? With death, you get to leave the mess behind and the real party begins!

O death, where is thy sting?
O grave, where is thy victory?

1 Corinthians 15:55-57 (King James Version)

Please understand I’m not trying to diminish the grief of those who have lost loved ones. I myself have experienced many times the emotional pain the absence of a loved one can bring. Including the loss of my Father when I was just 7 years old. It’s real and should be processed. But if we’re honest with ourselves, we have to admit that we are mourning our loss of love, guidance, protection, security, companionship, stimulation etc. and not what the person who has crossed over has lost. Why do we say “They’re in a far better place” if we don’t mean it or really believe it?

For them, as they leave the limitations of the physical world behind, the party is just beginning. Their troubles are over as they have returned to the spirit/energy realm where they only experience what their thoughts and beliefs create. If negative thoughts/beliefs carried forth from their physical experience cause them to manifest a negative reality, they are quickly rescued by loving family and/or friends who “show them the ropes” so to speak, that is, how to create their preferred reality (heaven) by abandoning 3rd Dimensional concepts and limitations. Understand that existence in the reality of spirit/energy is outside the realm of time, so they don’t even miss you, as you are also there. The limited physical avatar of you that they knew and who incarnated into a physical timeline is just one small version of you, a shared daydream your higher self had, a projection into a character in an illusory, fictional drama. Your higher self (and real self) stayed in the spirit/energy realm.

In our last blog article entitled Expansive Abundance we talk about the mental imbalance Materialism causes. Accordingly, it foments an extreme fear of death. The reason is simple; it’s an observable fact that “you can’t take it with you” and all the material possessions that one accumulates will be left behind, therefore defeating the very purpose (accumulation of wealth) the Materialist was living for. Also, with no connection to their higher self, the person has no conviction that they will continue to exist beyond the grave. For them, everything that defined them as a successful, worthy and powerful person is stripped away and their rotting corpse becomes nothing more than junk food for worms. For them, death has the sting and the total victory in the end.

Let’s contrast that to the person who is living in connection with, and being guided by, their higher self. They understand that consciousness is energy, and that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only converted from one form to another. Therefore, death is no more than their consciousness waking from a dream (for some, a nightmare) and returning their attention to their eternal existence with Source. Their point of attention leaves an illusory daydream and awakens to the truth of their everlasting being. Unlike the Materialist, they bring with them from their little mirage all the riches of wisdom and growth of character they attained, because these qualities are now a part of them.

Let me recall for you one of my own close encounters with death and how I experienced it. One night, when I was in my mid-twenties I found myself driving my new pickup truck on a very curvy mountain road about 30 miles south of Jasper, Arkansas. I was looking off to my right frequently trying to spot the sign for a campground that was to be my resting spot for the evening. I saw the lights of dwellings flickering through the trees in the valley far below me, letting me know their was a steep hillside on my right. All of a sudden, as I looked back toward the road, I saw two sets of headlights coming toward me, one in the opposite lane and one in my lane directly ahead. Immediately my brain began racing as I tried to calculate if there was enough room for all three cars to pass. I moved as far over to the right side as I thought was safe as I fought to stay on the curving road.

Suddenly I felt my tires lose their grip as the truck became airborne. My headlights were no longer illuminating the road ahead but instead I saw a thick forest of trees looming ever closer as I plunged toward them. The last thought I remember was “this is it. I’m going home.” My experience of time slowed way down and strangely, as the truck plummeted toward the trees and the valley below, I was enveloped in a bubble of complete peace, joy and love where fear was impossible. Rather than my earth life flashing in front of me, my future reality was incredibly clear to me: the dream was over, and my real life was ahead. I was overjoyed! My consciousness removed from my body and I felt no pain as the truck crashed head-on into a tree.

What transpired next is blocked from my memory. I know I was in the spirit/energy realm, probably deciding that my physical life mission wasn’t over and I needed to go back. Needless to say, I did, because here I am today channeling my higher self to bring you the consciousness expanding and vibration raising information that death is nothing to be afraid of. Physical existence is where the pain is as I experienced when I came back to my body inside the wrecked truck. My seat and shoulder belt had restrained me and the only injury I suffered was separated ribs from the impact. Initially it was painful, but my healing was quick and complete.

I know many of my readers have the inner confirmation that they are a Starseed and/or Lightworker and your connection to your higher self is strong. You understand what I mean when I talk about having a sense of mission and little fear of death.

Many Starseeds and Lightworkers also understand/remember that they have had other lifetimes and have crossed the “death” portal many, many times before, and that it’s easier and less painful than dealing with any government agency here on planet Earth. These individuals face “death” with a certain bravado because they have an inner sense they have a life-plan and they will not leave this terrestrial shore until they have accomplished what they set out to experience and bring into this physical experience.

Like a gladiator in ancient Rome they know that our heroic deeds echo into eternity and while physical incarnation has it’s joys and pleasures, in the end it’s just a fantastic dream, very entertaining by virtue of it’s limitations and challenges, but only a brief moment in our everlasting and limitless existence in the true reality of the spirit/energy realm where thoughts are things!
