One day as my close friend and fellow cosmic explorer Dan Marazon and I were driving in his car on some random street in the greater Los Angeles area, we pulled up to a stoplight and waited for it to turn green. Dan glanced my way and suddenly a look of amazement took hold of his face. He grabbed his phone and snapped a picture with such speed and agility it surprised me. “You’re not going to believe this!” he laughed as his expression turned to lighthearted amusement.

As soon as he snapped the picture, he handed me the phone and proceeded to drive as the light had turned green. As I examined the image he had captured, I was at first in state of disbelief which quickly became amused contemplation. There in the vehicle next to us at the stoplight, behind the wheel was my doppelganger- a perfect replica of myself. My twin was approximately the same age and had even chosen to wear the same type hat and glasses.

From the time I was a kid people have mistaken me for others and have been approaching me with the comment “you look familiar to me, have we met before?” When this first started happening, I would simply brush these comments off as a conversation starter and not give them much thought. But as the years went on, I began to see people who resembled me in various places. When I was living the wild party life back in the 90’s I even made friends with one of them. His name was Ian and when we met we were the same age and were wearing our naturally wavy auburn hair the same length and styling our beards in the same way. People assumed we were related.

Another incident that comes to mind is the time I was driving on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood and looked up and saw a billboard for a brand of jeans which featured a model that was a mirror image of me standing next to a motorcycle at a retro style gas station in the boonies. Within a couple of days, a few of my friends who lived in the area even called me to congratulate me! For a while I contemplated if maybe someone had taken a picture of me on one of my road trips and used it for the ad. Closer examination revealed the motorcycle was not one that I had ever owned.

This and many other enigmatic occurrences are why I often say “the paranormal is my normal”.

As a result I’ve come to embrace the idea that life is a mystical experience and stranger than fiction. No episode of The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits is too far-fetched to be beyond the scope of reality. The only thing that limits what we experience is what we’re willing to believe is possible. The Universe is a grand illusion shaped and given form by the imaginations of the very beings who experience it.

This brings me to an ancient teaching known as “The Law of One” which I’m told is the spiritual understanding of all higher dimensional/density civilizations in the Galaxy. In fact, my “friends in higher places” also tell me that in the days before the great flood which devastated the Earth approximately 12,800 years ago, it was also the core spiritual understanding at the heart of our planetary consciousness. At this time the inhabitants of Earth were comprised of peaceful, low-tech indigenous beings (Neanderthals) and off-world colonists from high-tech civilizations capable of interstellar travel. Some of the colonists were from planets of high vibration and some from civilizations of a lower frequency.

Those of a high vibe wanted to protect the natural spiritual and intellectual development of the indigenous peoples and those of low frequency were basically trouble makers out to exploit and manipulate the native beings for their benefit. This resulted in the Earth being divided into two great nation states or regions of influence. One based mainly in what we call today the western hemisphere aligned itself with the high-vibe, positive extraterrestrial civilizations and the other based mainly in the eastern hemisphere with those whose agenda was to exploit the planet and it’s resources for their own benefit. Eventually this resulted in a cataclysmic “battle in the heavens” to decide who would control the Earth and this sector of the galaxy. As a result of the war, a neighboring world was completely destroyed and today it’s fragments and moons currently comprise the asteroid belt. Mars, which was once an inhabited moon of this planet had most of it’s atmosphere ripped away and it’s ecosystem and civilization devastated. This resulted in system-wide havoc and a repositioning of the planets in the inner solar system which led to much climate-chaos. The water released into space from the incredible explosion caused a pole shift, mega storms and a world-wide flood on Earth and Venus. This resulted in population devastation/traumatization and the “fall” from higher consciousness that was experienced by the survivors of the great catastrophe. Thus the Law of One was forgotten and a “survival of the fittest” mentality took it’s place.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with The Law of One, it’s very simple really. It holds as a fundamental principle that the Universe/Cosmos is derived from (and comprised of) a singular Source of Divine and Infinite nature. The totality of which is an expression of the consciousness of that Source. Therefore all is that Source in various expressions and incarnations but fundamentally the same being. This holds true for various components of the Universe both animate and (seemingly) inanimate. All are imbued with and comprised of Infinite Source Consciousness and can choose either a negative (harmful) or positive (beneficial) polarity in the physical expression. In the spiritual or energetic expression there is no polarity as everything is understood to exist for the experiential benefit of all.

Imagine the ocean as a whole. Now contemplate all the life and elements that live therein. Everything in the sea derives it’s being and the building blocks of it’s physical structure from the nutrients present in the ocean. Even the wave that moves across the surface and appears as an individual moving through time and space is part of the all of the ocean. Conclusion: everything in the ocean is the ocean in various forms or expressions.

Consider now that the Universe is one big ocean of energy that is the conscious imagination of Divine Source. The physical aspects of the Cosmos are the individuated manifestation of that energy into the material realm as directed by Source for the purpose of experiential growth of consciousness. Therefore the purpose and meaning of material life is to have experiences that expand the Cosmic Consciousness. These experiences can only be accomplished by the limitations, individuations, and dualistic illusions imposed by the physical realm on the eternal and infinite energy of Source Consciousness.

All across the higher consciousness (and therefore higher density) civilizations of the Universe, it’s an accepted understanding that (as the Beatles famously sung) “I am he and you are he as you are me and we are all together…” In fact, as we hinted at in our blog posts Time Conundrums and The Elasticity of Time when you subtract the illusion of linear time from the reality equation, it becomes quite possible that everyone in the Universe is the same soul in previous or subsequent versions of itself co-existing together in the same illusory time frame by incarnational choice. It’s quite possible for the same soul to animate and inhabit different bodies at the same time without being consciously aware of it. And of course, at the highest level of reality we’re all derived from the great Infinite Soul which is Source. Personally I like to think of each individual as a unique facet of the same magnificent jewel.

Our egos cringe at the suggestion that “the other” is also us because we have a high regard for our individuality and a tendency to protect it vigorously. This is especially true when the “other” person does something that annoys us. But do we ever stop and think about all the things we enthusiastically value and do that “others” find annoying? No. Most of the time we’re blissfully unaware, for all we care they can go F themselves; which is also ironically hilarious when you consider the possibility that anyone we decide to F over is actually us. With this in mind, is it any wonder that when we F someone over, it comes back around and we get F’d by karma? When we hurt others, we are also hurting ourselves. When we uplift others, we are also uplifting ourselves. There are no others only other-selves.

The good news is the Law of One is being restored to the collective consciousness of this beleaguered planet. At present, the collective reality is dividing into two camps like the Biblical prophecy of the separation of the sheep from the goats. Those who want to stay in lower consciousness and promulgate/experience fear, harm and divisiveness are separating from those of us who want to ascend to higher vibrations and live in unity, harmony and peaceful coexistence with our “other-selves”. It would appear the former group is making choices that will bring their incarnations here to an end.

Soon, only higher vibration souls will be able to incarnate on Earth as the existential frequency will be too high for those souls who want to “slum it” and wallow in low vibe experiences. Which brings us to the question:

“What action can I take today that will help manifest the world I want to see tomorrow?”
